LIVE STREAM FULHAM v LIVERPOOL
Marco Silva’s Cottagers reached the second-tier title last season as their yo-yo between the Premier League and the Championship continues. This season is all about one thing for Fulham: staying in the Premier League.
As for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, they came so close to winning the Premier League title for the second time in three years, but Manchester City overtook them on the final day. But there is renewed optimism around Anfield that they can be crowned champions again.
Below is everything you need ahead of Fulham vs Liverpool on Saturday.

Fulham vs Liverpool live analysis! – By Joe Prince-Wright at Craven Cottage
⚪️🤝🔴 New boys Fulham battled to an impressive 2-2 draw against title hopefuls Liverpool ➡️ https://t.co/9o8zMGxakm
Excellent energy from #FFC who could have won it against a sloppy #LFC. Probably draw the correct result.

FULL TIME: Fulham 2-2 Liverpool. They can! What a huge point for Fulham and you know what, they deserved it. What an exciting start to a busy Saturday in the Premier League.
A few minutes to go here. Can Fulham hold out?
OBJECTIFLL! Mohamed Salah equalizes for Liverpool. Cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold misses by Tim Ream and the ball bounces off Salah who hits home. What a game!
For the sixth consecutive season, Mo Salah marked the opening day! #LFC
Liverpool equalized the game again. With less than 10 minutes to go, will there be a winner? Get to @peacockTV NOW! #MyPLMorning | #FULLIV pic.twitter.com/wbAVxisD2K

Fabio Carvalho, the teenage sensation who joined Liverpool from Fulham in the summer, makes a volley effort. Cue relief among home fans.
OBJECTIFLL! Fulham go up 2-1. Mitrovic scores the penalty after being clearly fouled by Virgil van Dijk. Incredible scenes here at Craven Cottage. Fulham fans are in dreamland.
PENALTY TO FULHAM!
OBJECTIFLL! Darwin Nunez with an audacious flick that goes through a diversion after great work by Mohamed Salah in the bottom right. Liverpool equalize. Play well and truly here at Craven Cottage.
CLOSE! Salah sends the ball to Darwin Nunez but his back heel finish is saved. Fulham fans sat behind me: “This can’t last!” Could he, however? Liverpool are getting quite frustrated.
PUBLISH! How did it not enter! ? USMNTTim Ream brilliantly manages to collect the ball and leap forward and then Neeskens Kebano’s shot beats Alisson but hits the post and rebounds. So close to a 2nd for Fulham.
Inside the post!
Fulham came very close to doubling their advantage over Liverpool.

The start of the second half was mixed here at Craven Cottage. Fulham sat a bit deeper and Liverpool trying to force their way from behind.
Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott both arrive early in the second half for Liverpool. Thiago is slowly going away with an injury.
👏 Fulham were excellent and totally deserve their lead against Liverpool here in bustling West London.

HALF-TIME: Fulham 1-0 Liverpool – Mitrovic’s header is the difference as Fulham have really shaken up Liverpool here. The Reds have come close a few times but Fulham totally deserve their lead with particularly impressive new signings Pereira and Palhinha.
PUBLISH! Luis Diaz hits the post with a fine effort as he almost slips in a shot from an impossible angle. Liverpool so close to equalising.
It should be 1-1. Andy Robertson finds himself at the far post and his ball crossing the goal narrowly misses the rushing Liverpool players. Very good game, this one.
OBJECTIFLL! It happened. Aleksandar Mitrovic heads home at the back post as he overhangs Trent Alexander-Arnold to nod. Fulham totally deserve this lead. They have been excellent so far. The local fans have gone absolutely nuts here at Craven Cottage!
It had to be him!
After scoring 43 goals in the Championship last season, Aleksandar Mitrovic gives Fulham the lead over Liverpool. #FFC

TO BLOCK! Harrison Reed’s shot is well blocked by Robertson and Mitrovic twice almost found himself on the end of a cross. Fulham are really having fun here. Liverpool haven’t started yet.
Fulham fans are, shall we say, ‘unhappy with the refereeing’ in this first half. Joël Matip got away with some questionable tackles. The hosts are still holding out.
CLOSE! Fulham’s Pereira whips in a free kick which Tim Ream deflects off target and then Joao Palhinha’s effort is wide deflected. Very nice pressure from the hosts.
Luis Diaz has the ball in the back of the net with a fine curling finish… but Andy Robertson was offside in the build-up. Decent finish from Diaz, however, and much better from Liverpool.
Fulham are really having fun here. Antonee Robinson flies down the left flank at every opportunity. Liverpool look a bit shaken. Home fans love it.
TO START UP: And a very good chance for Fulham right away! Alexander-Arnold’s clearance lands directly on Mitrovic and he takes a few too many touches, then pushes a harmless effort. Mitro looked a little unsure whether to strike or not.
The teams are out, it’s loud here at the Cottage and we’re all ready. Let’s go.
Hello and welcome to Craven Cottage! It’s a beautiful day here on the banks of the Thames. What an amazing place to kick off the first Saturday of the new season.
🚨Welcome to Craven Cottage!

Liverpool squad news, injuries, roster
Jurgen Klopp mixed things up throughout pre-season but we saw what was very close to his best starting lineup in Community Shield win against Manchester City last weekend.
Liverpool are without Diogo Jota, Curtis Jones, Caoimhin Kelleher and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, while Kostas Tsimikas, Naby Keita and Ibrahima Konate are shaking all the punches. Alisson returns to goal after missing most of pre-season with an abdominal problem.
Here’s how we line up for our 2022/23 @Premier League opener 👊🔴 #FULLIV

Key scenarios
For Fulham it has been a wild ride over the past five seasons with two relegations and three promotions to the Premier League. Life at Craven Cottage is anything but boring. All their hopes are once again pinned on Aleksandar Mitrovic as the Serbian goalscoring machine (at least in the second tier) will be peppered with crosses and the hope is that he can finally become more prolific in the Premier League. Marco Silva has been candid that Fulham aren’t making many signings this summer and staying up will be a huge achievement. Silva likes to counter-attack and he needs a good start to the season to create positive vibes. Sidenote: Fulhamerica are still going strong with Tim Ream and Antonee Robinson set to play key roles this season.
Liverpool have had a pretty decent and calm off-season overall. They sold Sadio Mane at the start of the summer but replaced him with club-record signing Darwin Nunez who looks set to be the next star at Anfield. And oh yes, they also managed to sign Mohamed Salah on a new long-term deal. Klopp’s side had some odd results in pre-season but they are preparing well for the new campaign and the big questions are how Nunez, Diaz and Salah will fit together as a forward trio, as well as the amount of gasoline like Jordan Henderson. and Thiago Alcanatara went into the tank for another push for all four trophies.
