We’re only one day away Samsung Unpacked Event, so of course spoilers are coming fast and furious. And now the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 has almost a complete leak.
Backer Roland Quandt, who has a well-established reputation for such last-minute leaks, has posted the full specifications and prices of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 on WinFuture (opens in a new tab)as well as a slew of what appear to be promotional images.
Galaxy Z Flip 4 screens and design
Noteworthy specs include a foldable 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 2640 x 1080 and a density of 425 pixels per inch and a refresh rate of 120Hz. These are the same specs as Galaxy ZFlip 3but from the pictures it looks like the bezels around the display are a little thinner.
The external display is expected to come back to 1.9 inches, with a resolution of 512 x 260. For durability, Gorilla Glass Victus Plus will apparently be used on the cover panel.
Other features include the presence of an Armor aluminum frame, IPX8 water resistance, support for nano SIM and side-mounted fingerprint reader.
Galaxy Z Flip 4 specs and battery
The Galaxy Z Flip 4, Quandt says, will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip, accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and storage available in variants of 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. 5G and Bluetooth 5.2 are also included.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4’s battery is expected to be a 3,700mAh cell (vs. 3,300mAh on the Flip 3) with 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging support. upgraded from the respective 15W and 10W of the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
Galaxy Z Flip 4 Cameras
On the front of the cameras, a dual rear camera array would include a 12-megapixel primary lens with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens; the same characteristics as its predecessor. The front camera will again use a 10MP sensor with an af/2.4 aperture. Expect improvements and camera capabilities to come on the software side.
Galaxy Z Flip 4 price
As for price, Quandt has European prices, with the 128GB model set at €1,099, the 265GB version to set you back €1,159. And the 512 GB one costs €1,279. These prices don’t easily convert to US dollars, but the first two modes are more expensive than the Flip 3, which means we could see the Flip 4 cost more than its predecessor in the US, which could spell goodbye. to the $999 foldable Samsung phone. .
Galaxy Z Flip 4 outlook
In short, if you’re expecting a revolution in design and specs from the Galaxy Z Flip 4, you’ll probably be disappointed. But we think the changes will likely come on the software and feature side, as Samsung is getting better at developing software and features for its foldable phones.
Tomorrow’s Unpacked event will tell if Quandt is on the money with that info, and if you’re not a flip phone fan then don’t worry as we also expect to see the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Buds Pro 2 as well.
