We knew the basic distribution of Jimmy Garoppolorestructured one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers. His base salary has risen from $24.2 million to $6.5 million with roster and playing time incentives that could increase the value to nearly $16 million.

The 49ers officially filed Garoppolo’s contract with the NFL and NFLPA. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo shared the following details.

  • $6.5 million fully guaranteed base salary
  • $500,000 total in roster bonuses per game ($29,000 per active game)
  • $250,000 for each game where he takes 25% or more of the offensive snaps
  • $100,000 more for each of these games won by the team
  • $500,000 for a playoff game, he takes 50% or more of the offensive snaps
  • $500,000 for 50% or more offensive snaps in the conference championship game
  • $500,000 if he wins the conference championship
  • $1 million if he takes 50% or more of Super Bowl offensive snaps
  • Maximum value of $15.45 million
  • No exchange clause
  • Non-franchise clause
